Organic Potash Corporation's Portable Processing Plant Successfully Completes its Trial Run and Produces its First Batch of Potassium Carbonate

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 1, 2012) - Organic Potash Corporation (CNSX:GOP) ("OPC" or the "Corporation") is pleased to announce that "K2" the Corporation's prototype portable processing plant has completed its trial run and has successfully produced its first batch of potassium carbonate. The potassium carbonate has been sent to the ISO Certified Food Research Institute (FRI) for chemical, biological and physical analysis to confirm its purity. Dr. Woode and J&P Engineering have also determined the most efficient processing method of K2 which maximizes production capacity. This processing method will serve the Corporation as a base model which will then be implemented into the full scale production line of the Corporation's proposed processing facility in Takoradi-Sedkondi.

Mrs. Heather Welner, President and CEO stated: "We're very pleased to announce that K2 is now in operation and producing potassium carbonate as this unit will be used as a template to construct new portable units that will be placed onsite of organic waste suppliers in areas not currently serviced. On behalf of the Corporation I would like to thank both J&P Engineering and Dr. Martin Woode for their input, and guidance, as data collected in this trial run will not only save us development time when we commence construction of our processing plant, it will also serve as a source of extra revenue to the Corporation once it is in full production.
