Graniz Drills 65.6 Metres (215 Feet) Grading 7.85% Graphite

Major Graphitic Marble Zone Identified at Brunet Deposit

LÉVIS, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - April 16, 2013) - Graniz Mondal Inc. (TSX VENTURE:GRA.H) ("Graniz Graphite") is pleased to announce another wide intercept of graphite mineralization on the Brunet deposit located 28 miles from North America's graphite producer IMERYS TIMCAL near Mont-Laurier. Dr Berthe Lambert, Chairman, comments: "Hole #137 with over 215 feet at 7.85% graphite brings a whole new ball game and significant new tonnage to the Brunet large flake graphite deposit. The drilling program should allow us to confirm that we are faced with a major large flake graphite body similar to IMERYS TIMCAL's deposit 28 miles west of our mine".

Graniz Graphite's geologists are also pleased to report that a main graphite horizon on the Brunet property, over 40 metres in thickness, has been intersected regularly during the drilling campaign. It is now possible to visualize the distribution and extension of the Main Graphite Horizon. The results of the drilling program are currently under interpretation but preliminary observations suggest that the graphitic marble is folded in such a way that it generates a large zone over 40 metres thick with considerable extensions. A bird's-eye view map will be posted on Graniz Graphite's website: http://www.granizmondal.com/ . While not a geological map as such, it shows the extent of this main graphite concentration. Light blue 2013 targets are still to come but we can already see that the main graphitic zone is 50 to 100 metres wide, some 150-200 metres long and open to the northwest (see map: Mousseau West - Drilling results April 10/2013).

Mr. Alain Tremblay, senior geologist, co-author of Mousseau West NI 43 101, comments: "It is important to mention that the graphitic marble, once folded, which produces the main zone (a fold nose), is intersected all around this main zone and will obviously contribute significantly to the overall resource. The presence of a main thick zone is particularly important as it indicates favourable conditions for low cost open pit mining".

Sampling including the addition standardized reference material and blanks was carried out at Ste-Véronique's coreshack and samples were shipped to ALS Minerals lab in Val d'Or for graphitic carbon assaying. Drilling, logging and sampling are carried out under the supervision of Mr. Yvan Bussières P. Geo. Eng. And Mr. Alain Tremblay P. Geo. Eng. NI 43-101 Qualified Persons. Mr Bussières is also responsible for the sampling protocol. The Company anticipates receipt of the assay results on an ongoing basis over the next two weeks.
