Jones & Bartlett Learning Selects MBS Direct Digital for Their e-book Distribution Platform

Jones & Bartlett Chooses MBS Direct Digital for XML Content and Easy Integration

COLUMBIA, Mo., Aug. 2, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MBS Direct Digital and Jones & Bartlett Learning have signed an agreement that designates the Direct Digital e-reader as the preferred platform for all Jones & Bartlett e-books. Students will now be able to purchase Jones & Bartlett e-books in the Direct Digital e-reader through the Jones & Bartlett e-commerce site or via the publisher's proprietary adaptive learning engine (PAL). By utilizing the Direct Digital e-reading solution, Jones & Bartlett will be able to provide students with e-books that feature a rich suite of annotation and study tools, contextualized learning resources, and ubiquitous mobile access.

The agreement, part of MBS Direct Digital's Publisher Partner Program, resulted from Jones & Bartlett's need for a turnkey digital textbook solution that was both user friendly and that could integrate easily with existing Jones & Bartlett learning systems. Direct Digital's innovative XML/ePub e-book solution met those requirements and also allowed the publisher a flexible tool for creating enhanced reading content for its customers. "We are extremely excited about our partnership with MBS. It allows us to extend our competitive advantage in content solutions that are flexible, personalized and adaptive." said James Homer, President, Jones & Bartlett Learning.

This integration showcases the power and flexibility of the Direct Digital e-book platform when it comes to meeting the needs of publishers in today's evolving textbook market.
