LOUISVILLE, CO--(Marketwire - Aug 7, 2012) - Zayo announces the expansion of its Las Vegas, NV network with the addition of 155 new route miles. This fiber build, which is in support of a large customer expansion, will extend Zayo's fiber reach in Nevada both in downtown Las Vegas and nearby areas.
The 155 miles of new fiber will leverage Zayo's existing Las Vegas Network by both increasing Zayo's coverage in downtown Las Vegas and extending fiber into the surrounding suburbs of Sloan, Henderson and North Las Vegas. When the expansion is complete, Zayo will have over 400 route miles of fiber in the Las Vegas metro market.
"Las Vegas has been an important market for Zayo. Our ongoing investment reflects the growing demand for high bandwidth solutions for Wireless, Data Center, Gaming and other customers in this market," states Matt Erickson, President of Zayo Fiber and Transport Infrastructure which includes Zayo's Fiber to the Tower product group.
In the last six months, Zayo has announced expansions in Denver, CO, Albuquerque, NM, Phoenix, AZ, Louisville, KY, Nashville, TN and Las Vegas, NV totaling over 1200 new route miles added to the existing Zayo network.
