Mr. Bykowski brings a wealth of highly relevant experience to the Board. He is currently the President of Mascoma Alberta Drayton Valley Limited, a subsidiary of Mascoma Canada, Inc., and the owner of VRM Management Solutions, a consulting firm with a focus on facilitating investments for bio-refineries and bio-products. Previously he has served as President and CEO of BioProducts Alberta, President of the B.C. Wine Institute, and President and CEO of Money's Mushrooms, a market leader for mushroom-related products. Prior to joining Mascoma, Mr. Bykowski supported and facilitated the development of the Drayton Valley Bio-Mile, an industrial biotechnology cluster that brings together communities, forestry companies, the agriculture industry, technology providers, strategic investors, and governments for the advancement of sustainable bio-industrial projects.
Concurrent with Mr. Bykowski's appointment, the Company is announcing the resignation of Dr. Art McEvily from its Board of Directors. Dr. McEvily has been a valued member of the Xylitol Canada's Board since 2010. Andrew Reid, President and CEO of Xylitol Canada, wishes to welcome Mr. Bykowski to the Company's Board.
