Weidenhammer Expands Presence in New Jersey With Contract Award From Jersey City Public Schools

READING, PA--(Marketwire - Jul 20, 2011) - Weidenhammer, a leading provider of IT services, announced today that the Jersey Public School District has signed a contract to replace its financial information system software with alio®, a fully integrated suite of Financial, Payroll, and Human Resource software applications. With this contract to provide software, professional services and hardware, alio is now available in 22 states throughout the United States.

Jersey City Public Schools, located across the Hudson River from New York City, has approximately 28,000 students, and over 5,000 staff members and 42 buildings. Jersey City was seeking a new financial information system that offered much more flexibility and streamlined the school district's payroll processes.

"We wanted to get off the AS 400 system and update our district with newer technology," remarked Melissa Simmons, Business Administrator / Board Secretary at Jersey City. "With our previous system, we were running too many payroll cycles. With the implementation of alio, this problem will be eliminated."

Jersey City also wanted to streamline their processes by getting all of their information on to a single database. This would include the district's Business Office, Payroll Department and Human Resource office. alio will help them accomplish all this, and much more.

"It was apparent during the sales process that Jersey City sought increased visibility into their data. The only way they could accomplish this business objective was with more advanced technology, more specifically, with alio's advanced reporting and data analytics," remarked Frank Heins, Weidenhammer Executive Vice President.
