VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 5, 2012) - Vancouver's biggest night of fashion is just around the corner. On September 6, 2012 Fashion's Night Out Vancouver (FNOV) joins cities across the world to celebrate the local fashion industry on one night only. Visual College of Art and Design (VCAD), a proud sponsor of FNOV, will be live on the scene to bring you updates from the front row of FNOV's Fashion Show at CBC Studio 40 (6pm PST) and from the streets as retailers across Vancouver open their doors from 6pm-10pm PST for a night of shopping, special events and surprises.
Getting involved with FNOV's events all summer long has allowed VCAD, a supporter of young talent in art and fashion, to help showcase emerging design talent in Vancouver. Student interns from VCAD's Fashion Design and Marketing and Merchandising for Fashion programs were able to participate in the planning and execution of the Styling Competition, Fashion Design Competition, street promotions, and upcoming main fashion show event. To enhance their FNOV experience the interns are also blogging about their internship on Tumblr and live tweeting from @VCADfashion.
The anticipation for FNOV culminates in the FNOV Fashion Show tomorrow evening, as various retailers and local designers such as Jason Matlo and Jacqueline Conoir show their collections. Evan Ducharme, winner of the FNOV Fashion Design Competition and VCAD alumni, will be the young talent featured in the show. The Fashion Show will also be live streamed here: http://www.facebook.com/VCAD.ca/app_392054067527276
