The Award recognizes a business that embodies sustainability, or offers a product or service that provides a clear environmental benefit. As the category winner, Growing City will receive a $1,000 cash prize and will vie against four other category winners for the National Best Business award, a $20,000 cash prize for business expansion.

The Award will be presented at a ceremony in Toronto on November 14, 2012, as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) Canada celebrations.
