Unity Awards Open Nominations Begin


SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - May 15, 2012) - Unity Technologies, provider of the Unity multi-platform engine and development tools, have opened up public nominations for the annual Unity Awards. Nominations for awards categories will be accepted from May 15 through June 15.

The Unity Awards, first celebrated in 2008, recognize the most outstanding examples of games, simulations, visualizations and other projects created using the Unity development platform across a variety of categories. Winners will be revealed in front of the Unity community during a ceremony at Unite 12 in Amsterdam on August 23rd.

Categories for the 2012 Unity Awards include:

  • Best Visual Experience
  • Best Gameplay
  • Best Serious Game
  • Best Non-game
  • Community Choice
  • Golden Cube (best overall game/project)

Nominations and winners are chosen by the Unity Technologies team with the exception of the Community Choice award which will be voted on by the Unity community starting in July.
