LIVERMORE, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 15, 2012) - TriPower, a leading wireless system integrator providing in-building wireless antenna network solutions and technical services to ensure public safety radios, cellular phones and wireless voice and data networks work reliably indoors, will be presenting at the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International Conference & Expo, August 19-22 in Minneapolis, MN. This is the premiere public safety communications event in North America. This four day event provides educational training, product offerings and networking with public safety communications professionals and industry leaders from throughout the world to learn about cutting-edge technologies and services.
TriPower's Gregory Glenn, Director of Product and RF Engineering, will join Minfei Leng, Applications Engineering Manager, Bird Technologies Group, and Seth Buechley, President, SOLiD Technologies, on a panel discussion titled In-Building Technology Update. The panel of industry experts will address why many users have trouble distinguishing between the truly important technical specification from the marketing hype or specsmanship, and consequently end up with subpar system performance with their RF in-building coverage. They will discuss key specs that a user should look for in signal boosters and how these specs ultimately affect the overall system performance.
"In-building signal distribution is a very effective way of solving coverage problems. The use of such devices require qualified equipment manufactures and qualified radio engineers doing design and install," said Gregory Glen, Director of Product and RF Engineering, TriPower. "Just because an amplifier meets FCC specifications does not mean that it will not cause problems to your macro environment."
Gregory Glenn is a FCC Licensed Radio System Engineer with over 32 years of experience in radio system design and deployment. Gregory specializes in interference and intermodulation detection and elimination as well as "in-building" and macro system design for Public Safety and Industrial users and has extensive experience in 800 MHz, 450 MHz and 150 MHz communications system design. Gregory holds a FCC Radio Telephone License, an Amateur Extra class radio license and is an APCO International member.
The "In-Building Technology Update Panel" is on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 3:45 PM in Room 211A-D at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
