OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 21, 2013) - As the 2012-13 National Hockey League season begins in Ottawa with the home-opener tonight at Scotiabank Place, the Senators are informing fans and media of a road closure near the arena in an effort to help traffic flow.
As part of the reconstruction of Maple Grove Road, the section of road between Huntmar Drive and Silver Seven Road will be closed until Saturday, April 6. The intersection of Maple Grove and Silver Seven will remain open with access to the Bell Sensplex.
While the intersection of Maple Grove and Huntmar will remain open, vehicles will only be able to access Huntmar from Hazeldean Road and from there will be able to travel north to Palladium Drive. The same will be true when vehicles leave Scotiabank Place using Huntmar.
Access to Palladium from Terry Fox Road, Silver Seven, Hwy. 417 and Richardson Side Road will not be impacted.
