BROCKVILLE, CORNWALL and KINGSTON, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 3, 2012) - Local youth in Ottawa will be able to attend the Trade Roots career fair when it resumes its tour through Eastern Ontario communities this fall. Trade Roots showcases careers and educational opportunities in health care, technology, skilled trades, and more. Trade Roots brings together local industries, businesses, educators, and employment services organizations to provide information about career and apprenticeship opportunities, and offer hands-on demonstrations of the skilled trades and other professions.
"We're really excited that we can include a market like Ottawa in the Trade Roots tour this fall. It is very accessible and an easy way for local youth to learn more about career and apprenticeship opportunities," said Charlie Mignault, Director of Business Development, Corporate Learning and Performance Improvement at St. Lawrence College. "Exhibitors from each local community will be at the fairs to answer questions and speak about the path leading to further training and education toward a meaningful career."
More than 3000 people are expected to attend the Ottawa event featuring more than 100 exhibitors. Past exhibitors have included the Ontario Provincial Police, St. Lawrence College skilled trades programs, Canadian Forces, and many more.
