LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - Jan 8, 2013) - Displair, a visionary, multi-touch interactive computer monitor made of nothing but touchable air -- will preview at CES 2013 before its U.S. launch later in 2013. Displair's vision is to create new visual and gesture technologies, replacing traditional glass screen monitors with more engaging, less environmentally wasteful methods of viewing and interacting with computers.
Displair projects a computer image on a thin stream of air infused with microscopic water particles. Using highly tuned software and gesture technology, a user can navigate the screen simply by touching the air. The air droplets are so small, that fingers stay dry. Displair will be available initially in the U.S. for high-end consumers, healthcare professionals, education, hotels, clubs, restaurants and out-of-home digital advertisers.
