MANCHESTER, ENGLAND--(Marketwire - Sept. 26, 2012) - Manchester-based Intuitive Business Intelligence (www.intuitivebusinessintelligence.com) today announces that one of the UK's top NHS Trusts, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust, is implementing Intuitive Dashboards, the advanced business intelligence (BI) dashboard solution, empowering staff with enhanced visibility of their performance at every stage of the patient pathway.
Using Intuitive Dashboards, the Trust gains fast, real-time, graphical access to a vast array of operational data, which will enable senior managers to view, report and share critical performance information with the Executive team. The dashboard solution is currently being used to deploy information on ward statistics to the Divisional Units and ward managers, supporting work being undertaken by the Trust's Business Sustainability Programme. This will enable the monitoring of key performance targets at ward level. The Business Intelligence Team is now working on dashboards relating to contract monitoring, waiting lists and outpatients.
Commenting on its selection of Intuitive Dashboards, Michael Brown, Deputy Director of Performance and Informatics at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn, said, "We have recently been independently recognised as one of the top 40 hospitals in the UK, based on an array of 23 key performance indicators covering safety, clinical effectiveness, health outcomes, efficiency, patient experience and quality of care. Therefore, performance management is at the heart of everything we do. We needed an effective way to view and analyse the key factors driving our performance against operational and Government-based targets. Intuitive Dashboards gives us a vastly superior approach to reporting, so we can quickly highlight issues before they have a negative impact. Combined with the ability to drill-down to the root cause of potential shortfalls, we can now take decisive action immediately."
Brown continues, "Intuitive Dashboards delivers real-time Web-based reporting and the ability to share the information quickly and easily with the people who need it most. As Intuitive Dashboards is highly customisable, we can provide different users with the most relevant information needed by their team or department. Intuitive Dashboards is critical in enabling us to enhance our performance and identify operational aspects of the Trust that demand remedial action. As a result of using Intuitive Dashboards, our goal of putting information at the fingertips of key staff is now a reality."
Roger Stocker, Director of Intuitive Business Intelligence, comments, "Access to and visualisation of data is critical to being able to manage the complex activities of a modern healthcare provider. Intuitive Dashboards delivers advanced capabilities to empower business users with real-time access to their most critical information which typically resides in numerous disparate systems. I'm delighted to welcome The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Trust to our expanding list of healthcare clients."
