SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwire - Oct 2, 2012) - ThreadMatcher today announced the launch of its beta version at DEMO Fall 2012, world-renowned for launching the most innovative companies in enterprise, mobile, cloud computing, consumer, social media and disruptive technologies.
ThreadMatcher is a social commerce website that allows users to curate the clothes that they both own and wish into virtual closets, and get relevant recommendations by following the curation of others who share as similar style.
The team explained, "ThreadMatcher provides the ultimate personalized shopping experience. To users, it's a style expansion. By following the curation of others who share a similar style, users can find out what's new at their favorite brands as well as discover other products and brands that they wouldn't have otherwise known -- all this directly from people whose style they trust."
ThreadMatcher will provide a live, six-minute demonstration of their website on the DEMO Fall 2012 stage today at 3:30PM and will host live demonstrations beginning today at Booth D20 in the DEMO Fall 2012 pavilion.
"What makes DEMO so captivating year-after-year are the innovative thinkers who take the stage to present a broad range of new technology solutions -- from enterprise to cloud, consumer to mobile and social," said Matt Marshall, executive producer of DEMO. "DEMO is proud and excited to once again provide the platform to launch today's most ground-breaking technologies."
ThreadMatcher was created by Kevin St. John, Amrish Singh, and Alejandro Chahin in January of 2012. Although the site has been in private alpha for the past few months, the team has been slowly ramping up users, getting feedback, and iterating on development. With a steady flow of users coming back to the site, the team felt that DEMO was the right place to finally launch into beta.
Produced by the IDG Enterprise events group, the worldwide DEMO conferences focus on emerging technologies and new products innovations, which are hand selected from across the spectrum of the technology marketplace. The DEMO conferences have earned their reputation for consistently identifying cutting-edge technologies and helping entrepreneurs secure venture funding and establish critical business.
