BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - Aug 28, 2012) - SessionM today announced David Kenny, chairman and CEO of The Weather Channel Companies (TWCC), will be joining its board of directors.

In his role at TWCC, one of Kenny's largest priorities is to spearhead the further development of a comprehensive, integrated strategy to accelerate its growth in the United States and internationally. The Weather Channel properties are the most popular source of weather news and information, reaching 163 million people -- which includes 33 million monthly unique users through its mobile platform.

Kenny currently serves as member of the board of directors of Yahoo Inc.
