Steven has 29 years of experience in building forensics, design, project management and construction. According to James L. Poole, PhD, CIH, Practice Area Leader for ENVIRON's Building Technology practice, which focuses on property loss consulting and building performance services, "Steven's litigation support expertise and insurance-property loss consulting practice both complement and expand ENVIRON's practice sector services, enabling us to offer enhanced expertise in response to our clients' most critical building-related issues. Steven also brings to the firm valuable expertise in building envelope water intrusion." 

Steven is a licensed architect in Florida, Texas and North Carolina. He regularly works with independent insurance adjusters and insurance carriers in the US and abroad to manage large loss investigations and serves as an expert in construction defect matters on behalf of attorneys.

Steven has provided emergency response condition assessment services for building and property damage due to hurricanes, tornados and flooding events across the United States. His tropical storm and hurricane damage experience includes Hurricanes Andrew (1992), Jeanne and Francis (2004), and Wilma (2005) and Tropical Storms Isaac and Sandy (2012). Steven has considerable expertise with building envelope water intrusion issues due to design, construction and maintenance issues.

Steven is a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Board (NCARB), a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Miami School of Architecture.
