ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - Aug 1, 2012) - Snapfinger Inc., the nation's largest and most comprehensive restaurant food ordering and payment application, today received news that its popular mobile application is considered the number one food ordering and payment application based on a recent survey conducted by HighTable.com. Snapfinger's number one ranking outpaced other food ordering applications including Seamless, GrubHub, City Mint and Delivery.com. The industry report produced by HighTable.com focuses on how restaurants are using mobile apps and online ordering to increase their businesses. The survey reported that 40% of consumers have ordered food from a mobile device or online and that 42% of restaurants have benefited from increased sales and improved operational efficiencies from online and mobile ordering.
According to Jim Garrett, CEO of Snapfinger, the number one ranking from High Table is most impressive because it comes from industry professionals that are "in the know" and understand the importance and value of a complete restaurant-centric solution that offers the ideal guest experience and delivers operational efficiencies inside the restaurant. "Snapfinger is the only mobile restaurant ordering application that is fully integrated into the restaurant's point of sale (POS) system," according to Garrett. "While your average consumers may not understand the importance of POS integration, they do enjoy the benefits of accurate menu items, prices and delivery or pick-up times. Also, restaurant operators appreciate the efficiencies of an application that is non-disruptive and complies with their exiting in-restaurant operations."
Although many restaurants are experiencing significant increases in take-out and delivery orders, only 16% of restaurants currently have a mobile application and only 32% of those restaurants offer a mobile ordering application. In the past, many restaurants have shied away from ordering applications due to costs and the inability for these applications to be integrated into the restaurant's POS systems resulting in lost orders, inaccurate menus and pricing and outdated inventory.
Snapfinger is the nation's most comprehensive mobile restaurant ordering and payment application serving more than 30,000 restaurants including exclusive relationships with some of the nation's largest brands such as Outback, CPK, Ruby Tuesday, Subway, BJ's and more. Snapfinger has published more than 30 brand-specific mobile ordering applications for many of the industry's most respected chains and is currently the top downloaded mobile restaurant application with over 6 million downloads.
