Sauer Energy to Commence Production

NEWBURY PARK, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 24, 2011) - Sauer Energy, Inc. ("SEI") (OTCBB: SENY), a developer of home and enterprise scale vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) systems, announced that commercial production of the WindCharger™ will commence in November of 2011. This will transition Sauer Energy from a research and development only company to a sales and marketing company.

Sauer Energy first unveiled its WindCharger™ prototype in May, at the WindPower 2011 Conference and Exhibition, the largest wind energy industry trade show in North America.

In just over 4 years, Sauer Energy's vision of a small vertical axis wind turbine for the home and enterprise has become a reality. As Sauer Energy enters into the sales phase, they will reinvest revenues to develop other applications for its technology. Through the course of manufacturing and marketing of the WindCharger™, Sauer Energy seeks to establish a leadership position in residential roof-mountable wind energy capture, due to its extremely unique and efficient features.

"We are committed to deliver this revolutionary system to the homeowner and small building owner, which will lower their ever growing cost of energy. Furthermore, making the WindCharger™ available to the public is an achievement we are all proud of. This accomplishment supports the goal we have planned for from the outset and is on schedule to be delivered in early 2012," stated Dieter Sauer, President and CEO of Sauer Energy, Inc.

The release of the WindCharger™ has been a widely anticipated event from its inception. We are proud that the WindCharger™ will be manufactured in the United States, creating jobs here in America.

Sauer Energy is in the process of expanding its current facility now to combine all efforts to provide a platform for finish assembly and further research and development. The new facility will be compliant for procurement of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) projects. Future goals include subsequent plants in strategic locations to meet the expanding demand for increased production.

Sauer Energy's state-of-the-art, custom and proprietary generator configuration completes the entire phase of its cutting-edge technology for the WindCharger™. Long-term certification and third-party evaluations documenting success will be published on our website as they become available at:

"We lead best by example, and building sustainable, economic and social progress by helping others will make us a leader in the renewable energy sector," added Mr. Sauer.
