Sage Announces Release of Sage Intergy v7 and Updates to Industry Certifications

TAMPA, FL--(Marketwire - Jul 29, 2011) - Sage announced today the release of Sage Intergy v7.00, an integrated software suite including EHR, practice management and practice portal. This release completes the version 7 release cycle that started in April with the latest release of Sage Practice Analytics, a clinical and business intelligence solution that features reporting and analytical Meaningful Use dashboards.

The latest release from Sage focuses on enhancing the user experience through enhancements to clinical, financial and administrative workflow. Some of these enhancements offer specific benefits to practices in pediatrics, radiology, internal medicine, family practice, and cardiology, as well Community Health Centers.

Support for regulatory requirements, including Meaningful Use and ANSI 5010, are also central to the vision of Version 7.

"Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for practices to meet the Meaningful Use requirements," said Betty Otter-Nickerson, president of Sage Healthcare Division. "Many Sage customers have already successfully attested to Meaningful Use and received incentive payments from CMS. We worked closely with customers and listened to feedback so we could deliver enhancements in the next version of our certified solution that would accomplish that goal."

In conjunction with the Version 7 announcement, the company has updated its two major industry certifications to include the latest Sage releases. Sage Intergy EHR v7 is a CCHIT 2011 certified Ambulatory EHR and Sage Intergy Meaningful Use Edition v7 is ONC-ATCB certified for Stage 1 Meaningful Use.

Sage also updated its ONC-ATCB certification by certifying all 44 clinical quality measures (ONC requires certification of only nine measures).

"Sage knows it's important to our customers that our solutions have been road-tested against the most rigorous standards," said Otter-Nickerson. "We believe this will provide an extra degree of confidence to current and prospective Sage customers and will further differentiate Sage as a company that meets and exceeds industry standards."

With regard to ANSI 5010, Otter-Nickerson said, "Sage has been out in front of the industry with early testing, contingency planning and customer education to make sure we're ready and, more importantly, to make sure our customers are ready. Sage clients are already transmitting more than 20,000 5010 claims per day. With Sage Intergy v7, we've included innovative tools that simply make it easier for our customers to transition from 4010 to 5010 with minimum disruption."
