CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Sep 19, 2012) - Ryan Partnership -- a leading integrated marketing-services company and part of Hyper Marketing Inc., has hired global industry veteran Mat Lignel as President of its Chicago office, it was announced today.
Lignel joins the agency from DraftFCB, and before that Foote, Cone and Belding, where he held senior client management and business development roles in Paris, London and Chicago for nearly two decades. He most recently served as Executive Vice President of DraftFCB Chicago. He will report to Ryan Partnership CEO Mark Modesto, who joined the company in June.
Lignel's appointment comes on the heels of Hyper's realignment in Chicago, which brought together two of its local agencies: SolutionSet, which has strong CRM, digital and data analytics capabilities, and integrated marketing agency Ryan Partnership. Lignel will manage the combined agency, whose clients include GlaxoSmithKline, Energizer, Wrigley, Bel Brands, Office Depot, Brown Shoe and Cintas. He will also have operations and business development responsibilities.

Lignel began his career at TBWA and Lintas in Paris working on brands as diverse as Kronenberg 1664, Playskool, Virgin Megastore, Colgate Palmolive and Lipton. In 1994 he joined Foote, Cone and Belding to work on SC Johnson and, after 3 years in Chicago, ended up running the entire SC Johnson portfolio out of FCB's London office. Lignel moved back to FCB Chicago in 2004 where he became Director of New Business. In 2006, he picked up operational duties during the DraftFCB merger and then played a significant role in one of the newly merged company's first big wins -- Kmart, in 2007, which he managed as a truly through-the-line piece of business.
