SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwire - Sep 18, 2012) - Real-Time Innovations (RTI), the world leader in delivering fast, scalable communications software that addresses the challenges of building and integrating real-time operational systems, today announced significant customer and channel momentum internationally and the appointments of three key executives in support of the growth. Over the last year, the company also increased its EMEA revenue by over 60 percent as more businesses look to RTI to help make dramatic reductions in systems integration costs, while improving the performance and quality of their distributed real-time applications.
EMEA Customer Momentum and Channel Partner Expansion
RTI provides leading EMEA enterprises, Siemens Energy and Volkswagen AG, with the technology infrastructure to run their business more efficiently and effectively. Volkswagen Group, the largest carmaker in Europe, is leveraging RTI's Connext DataBus™ to enable real-time system communication for several of its future driver assistance and integrated safety applications research projects.
EMEA defense procurement agencies are increasingly seeking Interoperable Open Architecture (IOA) solutions, with programs like the MOD Def Stan 23-09 mandating the use of the open standards Data Distribution Service (DDS) and the European Defense Agency (EDA) selecting RTI Connext for its Future Interoperability of Camps Protection Systems (FICAPS) demonstrator.
RTI has also expanded its international partner program with the addition of Matrix, a large-scale systems integration company in Israel, Geensyde, a systems engineering company focused on real-time, distributed and safety applications in France, Xellerix Embedded Systems, a management consultancy providing business and technical solutions in the United Arab Emirates and Tektronik, a solutions, hardware and software systems integrator in Turkey. With these new partnerships, RTI is able to extend its capabilities and presence worldwide and continue to grow its customer base.
Key Executives Selected to Manage Accelerated International Growth
RTI has relocated two members of its executive team and appointed Bettina Swynnerton head of EMEA sales operations to support continued customer and partner expansion in EMEA. Curt Schacker, chief commercial officer and executive vice president of sales and services, will relocate to Israel to continue leading RTI's worldwide sales and business development teams. Additionally, Dr. Gerardo Pardo-Castellote, RTI's chief technology officer, is relocating to Spain to lead and support the growing RTI Spain Development Center.
"Our market opportunity for further growth internationally is significant," said Curt Schacker, CCO and EVP of sales and services at RTI. "At a time when markets are depressed, the emphasis shifts towards efficiency.
