DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - Sep 25, 2012) - FORTRUST, the Rocky Mountain Region's premium data center and colocation services provider, today announced that Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver, Inc, will be added to FORTRUST's expanding "Powered by Giving" program. This program is designed to donate colocation space to charities that can no longer house their current IT environments due to growth or other factors impeding the integrity of their IT infrastructure.
While FORTRUST has always actively served the community, this program will allow for a more permanent extension of their role in the community. The choice to involve the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver into the "Powered by Giving" program came from a long-standing relationship between a FORTRUST employee, Patrick Shelly, who has donated his time as an IT consultant for years to the organization. The Ronald McDonald Charities of Denver have served the Denver community for 33 years, assisting families of children who are suffering from various illnesses or injuries. The organization has experienced tremendous growth over the years and had outgrown their current IT environment.
FORTRUST's impressive 224,000 square foot facility is nearing its capacity with its continued growth, however FORTRUST executives say they will always have space to donate to such organizations as the Ronald McDonald House of Denver. "FORTRUST is proud to provide colocation space to such an outstanding organization who has done so much for our community," commented Rob McClary, Vice President of FORTRUST. "We are continuously striving to find ways to give back to the community and are excited to implement the new 'Powered by Giving' program to assist in charities IT needs," McClary added.
"Community support has always been important and made all the difference to Ronald McDonald House Charities, FORTRUST confirms the importance of business giving back and reminds us how working together we make our community a better place," stated Pam Whitaker, Executive Director for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver, Inc.
