Risk Strategies Company Names John Wilcox President and Chief Operating Officer

Insurance Industry and Management Consulting Veteran to Enhance RSC Management Team; Will Work With CEO Michael Christian to Accelerate Firm's Growth


BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - Jun 20, 2012) - Risk Strategies Company (RSC), a national insurance brokerage and risk management firm headquartered in Boston, announced today that John Wilcox has been appointed President and Chief Operating Officer. Wilcox will report to and work closely with RSC Chief Executive Officer Michael Christian to position the firm for continued national growth and broaden the firm's client services portfolio.

Wilcox's focus on operations will allow for enhanced client resources and services, and his experience and capabilities will help him build upon RSC's strong industry reputation. RSC founder Christian remains as CEO and will focus on leading overall company strategy, growth initiatives, M&A and industry practices.

Wilcox brings 20 years' experience to this role, having most recently served as Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning at The Hartford Financial Services Group in Hartford, Conn., where he was head of strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions for the company. Previous roles at The Hartford included leadership of the Personal Lines business and head of strategy for the P&C company. Prior to joining The Hartford, Wilcox was a principal in the insurance practice at McKinsey & Company in both New York and Shanghai. Prior to McKinsey, he was a vice president at Hyperion Capital Management in New York where he focused on insurance clients. He started his career as a commercial property insurance broker at Marsh McLennan in New York. Wilcox holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from Dartmouth College.
