CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Jun 7, 2012) - The Zacuto/Kessler production The Revenge of the Great Camera Shootout (RGCSO) is headed east! The Asian premiere will be this June in Suntec Singapore at the 17th annual Broadcast Asia Exhibition. Cathay Photo, the event's host and sponsor, will also feature award-winning photojournalist Dan Chung as the event host.
RGCSO started its worldwide roadshow last month, traveling the US and abroad. Filmed earlier this year at Tribeca's Flashpoint Academy in Chicago, the shootout puts leading cameras through vigorous tests by ASC cinematographers. The goal is to demonstrate that the end result is dependent more on the person using the equipment, not the name or reputation of the camera itself.
Broadcast Asia is the region's leading multimedia and entertainment technology event that presents the latest in digital and interactive media, covering the entire value chain of content creation, management, and distribution. The event attracts broadcast professionals from all over the world.
Host Dan Chung is an internationally renowned photojournalist and early HDSLR adapter who currently works as a staff photographer for The Guardian UK. His website, http://www.dslrnewsshooter.com/, covers the practice and the art of cinema in documenting real world events. Dan's acclaimed work includes coverage of Iraq in 2003, the aftermath of the 2004 Indonesian tsunami, and the devastation of the 2006 earthquake in Pakistan.
