The Walk for Life is a national, annual event raising funds and awareness in the fight against HIV/AIDS across Canada. This September, over 130 communities will unite to support their local AIDS service organizations.

Recent estimates reveal that 65,000 Canadians are living with HIV/AIDS. As more Canadians become infected with HIV, events such as the Walk for Life help combat, stigma and discrimination, while raising funds to provide much needed HIV/AIDS services for the community in Durham.

  • This year's goal is $50,000

  • Oshawa Mayor John Henry will be giving opening remarks at 10 am at Memorial Park

  • Participants will receive prizes based on performance and team effort

  • The Walk will be an interactive event where participants will be challenged to find AIDS Walk Waldo along the Walk and complete other different fun activities.

All the proceeds raised at the walk will go towards HIV education programs and direct services at the AIDS Committee of Durham Region. Register now or donate at:
