OAK BROOK, IL--(Marketwire - Aug 13, 2012) - After having transformed a dirt field into a multi-dimensional playground in less than five hours, children from the South Side YMCA in Chicago celebrate with VIPs and volunteers at the ribbon cutting ceremony that officially opened the new playground. McDonald's, through the McDonald's Foundation, and KaBOOM! will build eleven more playgrounds in the U.S. in the next eleven months.

Volunteers and VIPs from McDonald's, KaBOOM! and the Chicagoland YMCA join forces to kick-off the construction of the newest playground built at the South Side YMCA in Chicago. The partnership, including support from the Greater Chicago Food Depository, will help provide nutritious meals and other children-related programming at the new playground.
