NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Oct 9, 2012) - Petrosonic Energy, Inc. (OTCQB: PSON) has announced recently that their new facility, slated to be opened within the 4th Quarter of this year, will be upgraded by the addition of a 120 bbl/hour heavy crude and asphaltene emulsification plant in the Company's soon to be completed Albania facility.
Petrosonic Energy, Inc. is building a facility to provide a 1,000 barrel of oil per day processing for the upgrading of heavy oil. This plant will be the first commercialization of the company's Sonic Reactor to provide energy and cost efficient heavy oil processing. Heavy oil, such as bitumen, is thick and hard to extract. But there billions of potential barrels of heavy oil and producing them will help to meet rising energy demands. Shell (NYSE: RDS-A), Cenovus Energy (NYSE: CVE) and Talisman (NYSE: TLM) all operate in heavy crude refining.
