HERNDON, VA--(Marketwire - Jun 27, 2012) - Audi of America today named Pete Hamilton as Director of the Audi Southern Region, the fastest-growing sector of the U.S. market for the premium car brand.
Hamilton had been the General Manager, Region Operations in the Southern Region, responsible for new-car sales, Audi Certified pre-owned sales and Distribution. He replaces Don Stephenson, who accepted the position of Director, Volkswagen Brand After Sales, reporting to Volkswagen Group of America President and Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Browning.
The Atlanta-based Southern Region covers 16 states and Puerto Rico, and it has seen the sharpest increase in demand among the three Audi regions with sales rising 71% and market share up 144% since 2005.

Hamilton joined the company in its Denver financial-services office in 1995 and has risen through the ranks at Audi of America over the years. He joined the Audi Southern Region in 2005. Hamilton lives in the Atlanta area with his wife and two daughters.
