Park Avenue Funding Retracts July 16 Press Release

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Jul 24, 2012) - On July 16 Park Avenue Funding announced that it had sued Reputation Defenders. The company wishes to retract this press release as it erroneously named Reputation Defenders as the defendant instead of Profile Defenders.

The corrected version of the release follows:

Park Avenue Funding today announced it has sued Profile Defenders and its Principals. Park Avenue Funding (PAF), a mortgage investment firm, sued Profile Defenders and its principals in Superior Court of Ocean County, New Jersey. In the lawsuit, PAF asserts that it hired Profile Defenders to help it manage its internet reputation. According to the suit, Profile Defenders, rather than assisting PAF, used confidential information that PAF provided to it to blackmail PAF in an attempt to extort money from them with threats to further damage their online reputation. PAF filed the lawsuit to illustrate the dangers of providing confidential information to unknown "web companies" who claim to do "reputation cleanup" or otherwise monitor your "internet presence."
