LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 31, 2012) - Think Operation Fast and Furious, the most expansive of the ATF's gunwalking sting operations, is colorful, convoluted and controversial?

In amount of sheer detail, it's small potatoes compared to Operation Rotten Tomato, the name Federal investigators gave to the case against Scott Salyer, former owner and CEO of SK Foods LP who was charged, along with several associates, with inflating prices of processed tomatoes.

On March 23, 2012, Salyer signed a Plea Agreement for two counts of what was a 12 count indictment before Judge Lawrence K. Karlton at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California. The deal states that the Government cannot ask the Judge for more than seven years.

Salyer's sentencing, which was postponed to September 5, 2012 has been continued again to October 17, 2012 or a later date.
