A seasoned storage industry veteran, Symons will be responsible for developing the long-term corporate and market strategy for Nexsan as the company continues its growth trajectory, especially in the area of Hybrid Unified Storage.

Symons has held successive leadership positions in a number of innovative storage vendor organizations. Prior to joining Nexsan, he was Chief Strategy Officer at Solix Technologies. He has also served as Chief Operating Officer for X-IO, Chief Executive Officer for Evostor Inc., Chief Executive Officer for Yosemite Technologies, Chief Technology Officer, Information Management at EMC Corporation and Chief Technology Officer at Legato Systems, Inc.
