Over the next three weeks, Cliptamatic users can discover, comment on and share short clips from the Vice Presidential and Presidential debates in real-time. Cliptamatic users can search a real-time feed of video clips while the debates are airing and then use those clips to elevate their commentary by sharing them and personalizing with a caption across their Facebook feed and within the Cliptamatic network. The new application taps into the desire of individuals on social networks to complement their conversations and interactions with video clips of news and popular entertainment.
Within the app, users can "Follow" other users, "Subscribe" to specific content Channels, "Like" videos and "Comment" on shared videos by other users. The "Subscribe" feature becomes especially relevant for this real-time election content, where users are easily informed when new videos are available.
