Music & Arts Acquires Anaheim Band Instruments

FREDERICK, MD and ANAHEIM, CA--(Marketwired - May 20, 2013) - Music & Arts, the largest band and orchestra instrument retailer and lesson provider in the country, has acquired Anaheim Band Instruments, adding to its growing footprint in Southern California. Music & Arts will operate the business under the name Anaheim Band Instruments, Part of the Music & Arts Family, and will uphold Anaheim Band Instruments' 30-year tradition of excellence in customer service established by owners and founders David and Diane Browne. 

From the moment its doors first opened in 1982, Anaheim Band Instruments has earned a reputation as a musical instrument leader in Southern California, with a specialization in traditional brass and woodwind instruments. The partnership between Anaheim Band Instruments and Music & Arts will provide customers with a wider selection of instruments for purchase and rental, create more educational and performance opportunities, and continue to offer the high-quality instrument repair and maintenance services customers have relied on for more than 30 years. The acquisition also gives Anaheim Band Instruments access to a state-of-the-art distribution center and an educational representative sales force that supports school music educators. Until they retire this summer, David and Diane will remain on staff to ensure continuity and a link to the store's existing customers.
