TAMPA, FL--(Marketwire - Oct 16, 2012) - In less than one week, more than 8,000 fitness enthusiasts and their families will gather to compete in Savage Race, Tampa's most extreme mud and obstacle event. The six mile race will take place on Oct. 20 at Little Everglades Ranch in Dade City, Fla. on some of the most treacherous terrain offered by the company to date.
Savage Race is more than just a mud and obstacle race; it's designed to be the experience of a lifetime. Featuring more obstacles per mile than any other mud event in the area, Savage Race is home to some of the biggest and most badass mud obstacles in the business. Oct. 20 participants can look forward to signature obstacles like:
- Colossus - This mammoth hybrid between a skateboard half-pipe and an enormous water slide is sure to leave you speechless.
- Shriveled Richard Ice Bath - The Shriveled Richard mammoth bath of frozen ice water is sure to get your blood flowing (or stopping!). Dive in!
- Evil Monkey Bars - This year's Evil Monkey Bars have been completely revamped. Thought going up and down once was enough? Now participants must complete the task twice on this 'M' shaped obstacle.
- Colon Blow 5000 - Take a chance crawling up and down our "colons." It's pitch black in there, and we have added two barbed wire crawls to make this year more interesting.
Registration for the Dade City event is still open. Discounts are available for student and military participants as well as those registering teams of 4 or more.
