mOcean's in-house resources and creative team of writers, director, producers, editors, composers and CG animators created an effects-rich 30-second TV spot that breaks nationally on August 6, 2012, in time for the back-to-school shopping season and in advance of the holiday sales season. The ad will air on Disney, Nickelodeon, Sprout, Cartoon Network, among others. A 50-second version of the ad is running on the nabi 2 tablet as a retail demonstration at Best Buy and GameStop. From briefing to completion, the campaign was completed in just five weeks.
To showcase the many meaningful and engaging experiences the nabi 2 tablet provides to kids, mOcean created a highly imaginative and emotion-evoking campaign. The first scene shows a boy walking down a country road holding hands with someone and pans out to show the hand belongs to an astronaut. In the next scene, a little girl plays hostess at a private tea party for her teddy bear and George Washington. Next, a surgeon performs an operation on a doll as a young girl assists him with her flashlight. In the next scene, a wide-eyed boy watches a martial arts master enter the frame with a high-flying kick. The final scene shows a girl jumping rope with The Doodler from the best-selling videogame Doodle Jump. The camera pulls out to reveal that these experiences were made possible by the nabi 2. A female voiceover closes the spot saying, "To you it's a tablet. To them it's a world. nabi, the first tablet designed to give kids the world."
