OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 7, 2012) - The Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of National Defence, today announced two contract awards for general maintenance at 4 Wing Cold Lake. The overall value of the contracts is approximately $2.99 million.
"These contract awards ensure military members working and training at the wing have the infrastructure they need to do their job safely and effectively," said Minister MacKay.
The contract awards include the replacement and installation of two de-aerator tanks, awarded to Flint Field Services Limited for $1 754 250; and the midlife refit for aviation petroleum and oil product tanks five and six which was awarded to Seafirst Construction Corporation for $1 240 000.
"Investments such as these ones announced today demonstrate our Government's commitment to our men and women in uniform, and to the economic growth of our community", said Brian Storseth, Member of Parliament for Westlock - St. Paul.
