SHERBROOKE, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 1, 2012) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the firm Métosak Inc. has been awarded financial assistance to enhance its productivity.
"The Government of Canada is committed to helping Quebec's small and medium-sized enterprises develop in order to remain competitive and create jobs. By contributing to this Métosak project, we are fostering the growth and productivity of our local businesses," said Minister Lebel.
Founded in 2002, Sherbrooke-based Métosak Inc. designs and manufactures value-added industrial products, such as equipment for off-road vehicles, for the airport sector and the transportation industry.
Métosak Inc. will use this funding to acquire higher-performing equipment, including a laser cutter, an automation system and a press brake, to improve its performance, the quality of its products and its service offering. The company estimates that this project will lead to the creation of 17 jobs.
