Mesa Exploration Files NI 43-101 Report on Utah Potash Projects, Indicates Presence of a Large Tonnage of Potash at White Cloud

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - May 4, 2011) -Mesa Exploration Corp. (TSX VENTURE:MSA)(PINK SHEETS:MSAJF) ("Mesa") is pleased to report that it has filed a technical report under National Instrument 43-101 for the wholly owned White Cloud, Salt Wash and Whipsaw potash projects in Utah.

The Technical Report was prepared by Dana Durgin of Delve Consultants, a Reno Nevada based consulting geologist who fulfills the requirements to be a 'Qualified Person' for the purposes of NI 43-101. The report is dated April 30, 2011 and is titled "Technical Report, Geology and Mineral Resources, Utah Potash Project – White Cloud, Salt Wash and Whipsaw Areas, Grand County, Utah". The report may be viewed on Mesa's website www.mesaexploration.com or on the System for Electronic Document Analysis and Retrieval (SEDAR) www.sedar.com.

The report stated "there are at least 32 oil and gas test wells in the White Cloud area that define the presence of a very large tonnage of potash in several beds underlying the area controlled by Mesa Exploration. In the Utah Potash Project areas there are at least seven significant potash beds within 6500 feet (1982m) of the surface, and 29 evaporite cycles in total. Each evaporite cycle consists from bottom to top of anhydrite, silty dolomite, shale, silty dolomite, anhydrite, and halite +/-sylvite (potash)".

The report also states that "the geology and controls of mineralization in the immediate area of the property are reasonably well known as a result of surface mapping and extensive oil and gas drilling. The presence of the adjacent Cane Creek mine which has been producing potash for 45 years, using the same process envisioned for mining potash at the Utah Potash Project, indicates that solution mining of potash should be feasible". The Cane Creek mine produces 60,000 tons of potash and 210,000 tons of salt annually.

A Phase I drilling program will be implemented, with rotary and spot core drilling at each of the projects, upon approval of the applications. Mesa is currently creating a 3-D model of the potash horizons using historic oil and gas well data.
