About the CSDC:

The Canadian Satellite Design Challenge (CSDC) is a Canada-wide competition for teams of university students (undergraduate and graduate) to design and build a small low-cost satellite. 12 universities participated in the competition. The CSDC plan is to subject the satellites to full space qualification testing and to launch the winning satellite into orbit to conduct science research. The goal of the CSDC is also to promote education, excellence, research, development, and future capability in space activities in Canada and to create a bridge between students and Canadian space industry and related high-technology companies, potentially leading to future collaboration or employment opportunities.
