TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 28, 2012) - Members of 32 Service Battalion will show their appreciation to the Board of Directors at the Canadian Museum of Hindu Civilization for their efforts in creating a monument for fallen soldiers on September 30, 2012.

Where: Canadian Museum of Hindu Civilization, 8640 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill
What: 32 Service Battalion will conduct a parade ceremony at the Canadian Museum of Hindu Civilization to award the Canadian Forces Medallion of Distinguished Service to its Board of Directors to honour those who created the Monument to the Fallen Soldier on the museum grounds. Brigadier-General Omer Lavoie, the Commander of Land Force Central Area, the Army in Ontario, will make the presentation.

The Canadian Forces Medallion for Distinguished Service is awarded by the Chief of the Defence Staff on behalf of the Canadian Forces to recognize outstanding service performed by persons (or organizations) outside the military community. It is the highest honour bestowed upon civilians for service of a rare and exceptionally high standard, which accrues great benefit to the CF as a whole.
