TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 19, 2012) - Ontario Ombudsman André Marin will release a report on his latest investigation on Wednesday, October 24 - at a news conference at 1 p.m. in the Queen's Park Media Studio.
He will report on his investigation into how the Ontario Provincial Police and the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services have addressed operational stress injuries affecting police officers.
Prior to the news conference, there will be a technical briefing for journalists from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in Committee Room 2, where copies of the Ombudsman's report will be distributed (under embargo until the news conference). Senior staff of the Ombudsman's office will be available to answer questions on background. Journalists who are not members of the Queen's Park Press Gallery are asked to report to Room 387A of the Legislative Building for passes, or call Gerald Christopher at 416-325-7922.
