OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 11, 2012) - The National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy (NRT) will release a new report to the Minister of the Environment on the state of climate progress in Canada, reminding us of how far the country has come and how far it must go to meet Canada's stated 2020 greenhouse gas emission reductions target.

This report conducts a comprehensive review of provincial and territorial climate change plans and assesses their likely contribution to Canada's 2020 greenhouse gas emission-reduction target of 17% below 2005 levels. The report, along with a news release, will be distributed electronically and posted on the NRT website www.nrtee-trnee.ca
