WINNIPEG, MANITOBA--(Marketwire - Sept. 6, 2012) - The National Board of Directors of the National Association of Federal Retirees (FSNA) will host a Meet & Greet reception in Winnipeg. Members of the community have been invited to attend and join FSNA in recognizing the men and women of the Canadian Forces, RCMP and public service who volunteered during 9/11 and those who lost their lives.
Dr. Ellen Judd, distinguished professor at the University of Manitoba, will remember Dr. Christine Egan, a victim of 9/11 who dedicated her life and nursing career to caring for residents in Canada far north. FSNA will honour its members and the men and women who volunteered in the aftermath of 9/11 with a presentation to the Christine Egan Memorial Scholarship fund.
