OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 15, 2012) - The Sens Foundation will host a news conference on Wednesday, May 16, at 10:30 a.m., at Scotiabank Place to introduce the members of the 2012 Roger's Dream Team.
This team of Roger's House patients, supported by their families, are spearheading the charge to encourage families, individuals, companies and organizations to participate in the 2012 edition of the Scotiabank Walk, Roll & Run for Roger's House, which will take place on Sunday, June 17, outside of Scotiabank Place.
Dream Team general manager Caitlin Neil and coach Chris Neil, the honorary chairs of Roger's House, will be available to answer questions about each member of this year's squad and their commitment to the event.
As well as introducing this year's dream team, the Neils will invite Sens fans to support their Walk, Roll & Run efforts by joining the event or by making a pledge.
Sens Foundation president Danielle Robinson will also be on hand to detail the ways that members of the community can get involved with this year's event. Robinson will also recognize the corporate sponsors who underwrite the costs of staging the event and invite other local companies to join the cause. Roger's House executive director Lloyd Cowin will explain why Sens Foundation funding is so critical to the level and quality of care provided by his staff and volunteers, while Scotiabank district vice-president Emily Farrell will talk about why it is such an ardent supporter of both this event and the Sens Foundation.
