OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 17, 2012) - Chief Electoral Officer of Canada Marc Mayrand will be meeting with over 200 student teachers at the University of Ottawa on September 19 to discuss civic education and youth civic engagement in Canadian schools. The event is part of Canada's Democracy Week, an Elections Canada civic education initiative.

The event will be moderated by Mathieu Fleury, municipal councillor with the City of Ottawa.
