VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 20, 2012) - The Bear family of North Vancouver is out to break our one year record of $9,000.00 raised for Camp GoodTimes. This year marks the 9th annual 4 on 4 ball hockey tournament in support of The Canadian Cancer Society's Camp GoodTimes. Over the last 6 years, thousands of dollars were raised to support the summer camp that provides a fun and safe camping experience for children and their siblings living with Cancer.
We are looking forward to great turn out this year as we are expecting a record number of participating teams. Each co-ed team is made up of players of all ages, and participants pay an entry fee of $40.00 dollars each with all proceeds going to Camp GoodTimes. There will be a barbeque at the end of the day as well as a silent auction.
To learn more about Camp GoodTimes go to www.cancer.ca/British%20Columbia-Yukon/Support%20Services/BC-Camp%20Goodtimes.aspx?sc_lang=en.
If you are interested in joining this fun filled afternoon of ball hockey, or donating prizes to the silent auction, please contact John or Jen Bear at 604-988-7117 to register a team. (Drop-in players are more than welcome!)
The media is invited to attend on assignment for full and unrestricted media use to help raise awareness for this growing annual event and the amazing work that Camp GoodTimes undertakes.
