SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 19, 2012) - MapR Technologies, the provider of the open, enterprise-grade distribution for Apache Hadoop, today announced the appointment of Kim Williams to the position of worldwide vice president of services and support. Reporting directly to CEO and Cofounder John Schroeder, Kim will be responsible for MapR's professional services, customer training and support teams.

Prior to MapR, Kim was vice president of worldwide technical services at Blue Coat Systems where she led the systems engineering, professional services, technical enablement and customer training organizations. Previous to Blue Coat, Kim held senior management roles at BEA, Synopsys and Compuware.
