Macusani Yellowcake Receives Prestigious International Award

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 10, 2012) - Macusani Yellowcake Inc. (TSX VENTURE:YEL)(FRANKFURT:QG1) ("Macusani" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that its Peruvian subsidiary, Global Gold S.A.C., has been awarded the "CONACO International Award for the Best Company of the Year."

The "Best Company of the Year" Award is given to outstanding companies or entrepreneurs with operations and activities in Peru and generally throughout South America. Winners are selected through a competitive process based on a number of criteria, including business leadership, management systems, quality products and services, innovation, creativity, social support and responsibility and national and international recognition. Macusani Yellowcake's subsidiary was the recipient in its sector of the Award for Peru.

This award recognizes the importance of uranium exploration and development in the mining industry of Peru. The award ceremony provided an opportunity for direct interaction by company representatives with policy makers, entrepreneurs, traders and investors.

A number of government officials attended the award ceremony including Ms. Cecilia Chacón de Vettori, Congresswoman of Peru, who was the President of the Commission of Energy and Mines of Peru during 2011 and is a current member of the same committee.

Congresswoman Chacón de Vettori recently organized a similar ceremony at the Peruvian Congress where she awarded the company an honorary degree in recognition of the outstanding business performance and valuable contribution to national development.
