VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 29, 2013) - LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services ("LifeLabs") would like to advise patients, providers and the public that all (80) of its community-based patient service centre locations are open on Tuesday January 29th and Wednesday January 30th.
In an effort to conclude a collective agreement, LifeLabs and the B.C. Government and Service Employees Union (the 'BCGEU') have resumed bargaining at the Labour Relations Board. The BCGEU has indicated there will be no BCGEU strike activity at LifeLabs patient service centres on January 29th and 30th.
In addition to our patient service centres, all LifeLabs lab testing facilities in Burnaby and Victoria remain in full service and are reporting results without disruption. LifeLabs outreach services to residential homes and seniors care facilities in B.C. continue as usual.
